Message When I was a kid, my dad liked to buy cars, restore them, and sell them. He brought home an 85
N/A 5-speed with the digital dash. It had been stolen and recovered, so other than some torn up
ignition stuff, it worked fine. He fixed it up a bit and sold it, but I remember driving it and thinking
the digital dashboard and voice warning made it the coolest car in the world.
When it came time to buy my first car, we were shopping around for boring 4 door sedans, and I
remember seeing a red 88 non-turbo. It reminded me of that Z, so I knew I had to have one. Got
on Autotrader and bought the first one I found, a maroon 86 N/A 5-speed. It became my baby; I
absolutely loved it. It's what got me into cars, and I'll probably own another Z31 some day.
I hung around the Z forums and stuff and that's when I first saw the Z32. I remembered the
barbie commercial from when I was a kid and everything, just never made the connection. At first
I didn't like the Z32, but the more I saw it, the more I wanted one. I kept an eye out on craigslist,
and one day I saw an aztec red 90 TT 5-speed. I called the guy who said he would be at work until
7pm, but he gave me directions so I could check it out. So I drove down to his house and scoped
it out, and it was love at first sight. I ended up chatting with the guy for a couple of hours, and had
put a deposit on it by the time I left.
